Free Valentine’s Day Events in New Jersey
Valentine’s Day has now expanded to include lots of Galentine’s events as well. Aside from being celebrated by just couples, there are events for friends and families with kids as well. Be sure to find a fun one near you!In the past we have attended many Valentine’s events around the holiday. For the kids it has been a great opportunity to make gifts for friends and family. They have made things such as Valentine’s, puppets, heart craft projects and more!
Valentine’s Day meals and events can get expensive. Instead of breaking the bank there are many free event and activity ideas that you can do for free with your date in New Jersey.

Ice Skating Returns
Location: Behind the new Fort Lee Commons in Fort Lee, NJ

Old Fashioned Valentine’s Day
Location: Howell Living History Farm in Lambertville, NJ

Event Details: Take a ride around the farm! Families can go in a hay wagon or bobsled. Couples can go in a two-seater sleigh or carriage. There will be a small fee for a children’s craft and soup is available for purchase.
Our Experience: Seeing the majestic horses at Howell is something the kids always love. We visited one year during the snow around this time and it was like being inside of a snowglobe.

Our Experience: The kids loved making s’mores outside and seeing the animals on the farm. When it got chilly we warmed up inside the wine barn while listening to the great live music.
