Fun with Kids in Easton: Crayons, Farm Animals and a Candle

Easton is a great town to visit with kids. With its small size and multiple activities it is a great option for families with younger kids. This article will tell you the things we enjoy doing the most in Easton.

Klein Dairy Farms

Free Things To Do

The kids had a blast on their playground. There were swings, slides, playground structures, a small toddler playground structure and more! Their favorite part was the ship.

When we had just gone they also had a free corn maze that was up. It was perfect since it was still tall but it did not take too long to go through. This made it the perfect length to go into with younger kids.

Ice Cream

The main reason we also have to stop here is their delicious ice cream. It is homemade and supremely creamy and delicious. If you bring a cooler they sell plenty of other meat, dairy products and baked goods that you may be interested in taking home. We loved their mint chocolate chip ice cream and pumpkin bread.

Animals

There are multiple animals on this farm so it is a must see for kids. There are cows, goats, chickens and more. Bring quarters so you can feed the animals.

Cow or Calf Cuddling

Private cow or calf cuddling sessions are now being offered through the La Farm Girls Cow & Cuddle Academy. Book one of these before your visit.

Crayola Experience

This is a fun place to visit with kids. It is one of the few places where even adults will not get bored. Tickets can be purchased here: Crayola Experience. Check out my article about our two visits here: Making the Ultimate Goody Bag at the Crayola Experience.

Uh oh! It looks like the baby from Honey, I Blew Up the Kid found a way to blow up her art supplies!

Easton Public Market

On both of our trips we visited this market. It is kind of like a smaller, cleaner and classier version of the Reading Terminal Market. There are a variety of food options from different places that are quick to get for your meal. The seating is cafeteria style and everything is pay up front.

Easton Public Market

Kid Play Area

There is a small play area in the back that young kids may enjoy. They have high chairs and rest rooms.

Music

They often have live music performances by guitarists as well. We were able to see performances both times we went. They often have other events throughout the year as well. Check out their calendar to see what is happening next.

Food

There are a variety of places selling food here at a reasonable cost. Some food options you can find are burritos, ramen, pizza, vegan hot dogs, pierogies and more. Tolino Vineyards also has a bar area in the market.

Peace Candle

Easton is a great town to visit around Christmas. The downtown is fun to walk around with all of the lights. There are numerous dining options and interesting stores to check out. Read about our favorite things to do in this article as well as upcoming events.

Easton also usually has a peace candle up until mid January. This is one of the largest in the world and is a wish for world peace. It is 106 feet tall. It is very impressive to look at, especially at night with all the lights on the trees nearby.

Downtown

We enjoyed walking around the circle and also a bit on some of the side streets around the downtown. On our recent visits it seemed like there were a lot more food options than there were five years ago. There were all kinds of cuisines such as Greek, Indian and Vietnamese.

The kids liked stopping inside the Easton Outdoor Company. We got lucky and someone had set up a telecope in the square while we were there. We were able to see Saturn and its rings!

Some other places we noticed that looked good for kids were the Smartivities Showcase, BunBusterz, Book & Puppet Company and Frozenlandia.

Sigal Museum

I have not been able to visit this museum yet but it sounds very interesting. The museum tells you about the history of the area with various artifacts and programs. It is free to visit for the public from noon to 4 pm every Sunday. Kids 5 and under are always free.

Video

See a video of the downtown at night here: Downtown Easton at night.

Where to Stay

We had stayed at this Holiday Inn Express on our recent visit. The location was very convenient to Easton, Bethlehem and Nazareth.
