XGLOsive Basketball Returns to Burlington County

What is XGLOsive Basketball?
It is basketball played at night with blacklights, fluorescent court decor and an awesome dj.
Who runs this?
XGLOsive Sports LLC brings the party in conjunction with the Burlington County Municipal Alliance as well as the Townships of Mount Laurel, Evesham, Cinnaminson, Mount Holly and Burlington City.
Is this free?
Yes! It is completely free.
Do I need to register?
Be sure to register beforehand as there are limited slots available. Remember it is only one slot per person. Register each person individually. Be sure to include your shirt size when you are registering to ensure you can receive a free shirt when you arrive at the event.
What ages is this for?
It is for anyone ages 12 and up. There are different time slots for if you are between ages 12 to 17 and if you are over 18.
What are the details for the events?
The events are in 4 cities throughout Burlington County on multiple dates. The start time for each of the events starts at 8 pm. If any of the towns have any additional events these may start earlier. The map below shows the locations throughout the county. I have listed the time slots at each location. These tend to fill up quickly.
Sunday, August 11th
Location: Evesham Township Recreational Facility

Time Slots: 8:15 - 9 pm and 9: 15 - 10 pm for 12 to 17 year olds/ 10 - 10:45 pm for 18+
Rain Date is Sunday, August 11th
Evesham Township with have a BBQ with the Police on Friday, August 9th prior to the event from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm with free hot dogs and burgers from Rastelli Market Fresh. There will also be free Mister Softee from 8:30 to 9:30. You do not have to be participating in the XGLOsive basketball event to get food from the BBQ with the Police.
Monday, August 12th
Location: Larchmont Swim Club (Outside)

Tuesday, August 13th
Location: Cinnaminson East Riverton Park

Rain Date is Wednesday, August 14th. Free cookout and games at 6 pm.
We just attended the cookout prior to the basketball portion of this event and it was a blast. Lots of kids were playing on the playground or courts in East Riverton Park. We got to sit inside of a fire truck. Then we ate food donated by Hunter’s Farm Market such as corn, watermelon, hot dogs and burgers. The kids were excited to drink some Hug fruit barrels. After that people who had registered were getting their free XGLOsive basketball shirts. They finished setting up the courts and started up some music as well. Lots of kids were biking in and they were excited to start playing basketball soon.

Has this event been in Burlington County before?
Yes! In 2021 and 2022 XGLOsive tennis came to Burlington County. In the summer of 2023 XGLOsive basketball arrived in Burlington County. I am very grateful that this is something that our county continues to bring back.
Our Experience at XGLOsive Tennis
I played tennis in middle school and high school. I also danced for many years and currently I do zumba. When I heard about the XGLOsive Tennis event in 2022 I was elated since it sounded like it would combine two of my favorite things. My husband and I were lucky enough to get spots. We had not read much about the event and we were amazed at how completely awesome it was when we arrived.
That year we had signed up for a slot at the tennis courts near the Hainesport Municipal Complex. When we arrived there were lots of freebies given out as well as a whole host of friendly people running the event. There were players of all ages and abilities attending. We were very excited to receive our fluorescent yellow Light the Night shirts and our white headbands.
Once the music started and we were on the courts I felt completely transported. It was as if I was inside of a video game. The thumping beat along with the fast-paced tennis drills and quick games had everyone in a joyous mood. Coach Ike was there who is always great at heading up drills. It was also fun to pull out a few dance moves. I had the best time ever. At the end we were hot so we were excited to get some free ice pops as well.
XGLOsive tennis was a unique and fun event. I am sure XGLOsive basketball will be equally as amazing. Be sure to sign up for a slot while they are still available!
